A large number of parents are becoming concerned about the inactivity of their kids. This is leading them to explore new outdoor experiences which may interest them and encourage them to be more active. Some are finding that introducing the kids to rock climbing is doing the job for them.
The Introduction
Just suggesting the activity may not get the interest but taking the kids to where this happening will create a completely different picture. The kids who are climbing will be happy and excited, and this should make those watching at least want to give it a try.
The Next Step
Before going out and buying the equipment, which will be necessary if the kids continue, they should at least try it three or four times first. This is quickly done by going to a rock climbing gym where nearly everything is supplied except for the shoes.
Family Participation
For some kids, they may still be a little wary of this sport. If other members of the family participate, this may take care of this. Ideally, if the family were to join a rock climbing gym, this is something they could enjoy regularly.
